WHERE TO STAY

Ah yes. Where to stay. The Hilton? The Ramada? Let's see. Well, let's not get carried away here. There is no Hilton or Ramada in Wasaga Beach. There's not even a Holiday Inn here.

That doesn't mean you won't find modern, comfortable, clean accommodations here in the Beach.

Accommodations range from two person cabins with washroom facilities in another structure on site to very modern motel and condo like units with all the amenities including cable and satellite TV, Jacuzzi tubs, gas and wood fireplaces.

So you can rough it in a cabin or tent or take the comfortable route with a modern room. The choice is yours. That means there is something for everyone and something to fit everyone's budget.

Ok. The Summer months. Listen up. The busiest weeks are the last two weeks of July and the first two weeks of August. If there is a long weekend it will be overflowing with people and cars; guaranteed. If you don't like crowds, do not come to Wasaga Beach during a long weekend. If you like the crowds and action, the long weekend is for you. If you like things to be quiet and peaceful, we recommend that you visit the whole month of June, the first two weeks of July or the last two weeks of August. That way you will enjoy your visit and come back year after year. However all said, with each passing year the quiet and peaceful part seems to getting smaller.

POOLS, POOLS EVERYWHERE!

Over the past couple of years many of the hotels / motels in Wasaga Beach have been adding swimming pools. When the world's longest natural swimming pool is the main attraction, a man made chlorine filled pool seemed redundant.

Well it's nice to have a choice and many of the accommodation providers are providing the travelling public with this option.
Angels Wasaga Inn, The Albatross Motel, Villa Nova Motel, Lakeview Motel, Kingsbridge Inn and The Saga Resort have all built new pools these last couple of years. The Dyconia has had their pool since the early 60's. Some also have added hot tubs. If a swimming pool is part of your vacation needs, try one of the aforementioned hotels / motels.

PATIO MADNESS

Is there anything nicer than sitting on an outdoor patio with a cold drink and great meal? Well there are lots of outdoor patios to do just that here in Wasaga Beach. The most obvious choices are the beachfront patios lining Beach Drive. The Bananas Beach Club is one of the more popular hang outs for the under 30 crowd with the Dardanella being the choice the for the rest of us. The sunsets are legendary.

The Patio at The Dyconia is a jewel overlooking the River. Only a couple of minutes away from the madness is this quiet serene patio. They serve up some of the Beach's best fare at a reasonable price.
